Frequently Asked Questions
What ages can attend GTA Mavericks Vaughan camp?
The Recreational (Fundamentals) program is open to ages 4–12. The Representative (Rep) program is for ages 8–17. Not sure which program is right for your child? Email us or call us — we'll help you choose.
What is the difference between Rec and Rep?
The Recreational program is beginner-to-intermediate focused — great for kids who are new to the game or still building core skills. It's fun, energetic, and designed to build confidence. The Rep program is for more experienced players who want competitive development, advanced drills, and higher-intensity training. Both include the same gear and awards.
Can my child attend only one week?
Yes. Each week is a standalone registration — you can sign up for just one week with no obligation to return. If your child loves it, you can register for additional weeks at any time, subject to availability.
Can we register for multiple weeks?
Absolutely. You can register for as many weeks as you'd like throughout the summer (July 6 – August 14, 2026). Given current Vaughan demand, we recommend registering for all desired weeks early.
What time does camp start and end each day?
Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For drop-off, pickup, or schedule questions, please contact us.
What should my child bring to camp?
Basketball shoes (required), comfortable athletic clothing, a water bottle, and any personal snacks. A basketball is provided as part of registration but players are welcome to bring their own.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is not included. Please pack a lunch and snacks for your child each day.
What is the refund policy?
GTA Mavericks has a published refund policy. Please review it at gtamavericks.ca/refund-policy/ or contact us directly before registering.
Who are the coaches?
GTA Mavericks uses experienced basketball coaches affiliated with CABB and the Jr. NBA program. Specific coach information for Vaughan 2026 will be updated here as the roster is confirmed.
